South DT Waterfront (Riverplace)

The south end of downtown saw extensive redevelopment in the 60s-70s as part of the Auditorium district. Developers/planners next turned to South Waterfront. Begining in the mid seventies plans were concived to transform the area into a modern, new-urbanist enclave, a plan which was largely realized by the early 90s.
