McLoughlin Blvd, 1977

It is nice to see that we are not unique in living during a time of poor roadside landscaping. I am surprised to see this in such disrepair having assumed it was built out in the early 70s.

  1. Okay, this is just weird. The house in the center of the first photo is where I lived from 2000 until 2010. It was just torn down this Wednesday the 19th to make way for a new mini-storage facility. I have never seen this photo before, so thank you very much for sharing this.

If you have any questions about the areas in these photos, just ask. I could talk all day about this portion of the Brooklyn Neighborhood.

  2. UPDATE: All three houses shown in the first photo have now been demolished and the whole block has been cleared.

The buildings on the back half of this block were demolished back in 2012 to make room for the MAX Orange Line. The old ARCO station and Flav-R-Pac warehouse were torn down at that time too.

Only the warehouse building with the skylights in the far background remains.
